The Doug Woodham Dallas Junior Police Academy Youth Leadership College Scholarship

The Scholarship Program was established in 2016. It is offered to a high school senior in the Spring of each year that is in good academic standing and who demonstrates leadership, community service, and good character. The $500 award will be payable upon receipt by the Dallas JPA of the scholarship recipient’s proof of registration at an accredited college or university.
Qualifications
- US citizen
- DFW Metroplex resident
- High school senior
- 2.5 grade point average or higher
- Planning to attend a 2- or 4-year college/university in the Fall of each year
Application
- Must be received no later than June 15, 2023
- Must attach two letters of recommendation
- Must include essay
Award
The recipient will be announced July 30, 2023. The recipient will receive the award for the next semester at the time they enter the college/university stated on their application and upon receipt by the Dallas JPA of the scholarship recipient’s proof of registration.
